Our Story/Our Roots

Intercounty was founded over 68 years ago and helped form NECO in 1997 under the leadership of former CEO Jay Lebowitz. He was instrumental in bringing rival Northeast buying groups together under a cooperative umbrella (NECO) to serve independent dealers. Intercounty operates a distribution center, which allows the group to take factory-direct shipments by the container load to lower the cost of goods and provide same- or next-day delivery of small-lot orders, along with many other opportunities and advantages.

Since its creation, Intercounty has grown into 2 stocking warehouses and expanded our dealer coverage. Growth = Better Programs = Better Profit for all!
